Kid's Corner - Chapter 4, Lyndsey Boggs

Lyndsey Boggs - In the family tradition...Takes her first step into the Halter arena!!

Saturday, January 15, 2005 began a new chapter in the circle of life and the story of Team Midwest. Lyndsey Boggs, one of David and Terry Anne's twins made her first appearance in the halter ring at the Southern Arizona Horse Show held in Tucson. This elated young handler in her debut won her first of two Championships and added the traditional leap upon her exit from the show arena with Golden Melody (Padron Psyche X WN Samirsgrandlady) and the Half Arabian mare Tequila Rose. Lyndsey is definitely following in the footsteps of her Dad and has made him a very proud papa. [read more]

Why I Love Arabian Horses: by Lyndsey Marie Boggs
August 2004. Ten Years old.

I began to love the Arabian horse when I was a baby. It was the day my sister and I sat on a very nice and kind stallion named Bey Shah+. I loved Bey Shah+, but he died when Courtney and I were five years old. We also began riding on my dad's horse named *Padron. When we started going to horse shows, we always cheered for *Padron babies and our dad. *Padron babies kept winning grand champion or 1st place. *Padron is my dads best friend and he now lives at a very nice farm with some very nice people named Linda & Joann at Jabar Arabians.

A few years later we learned how to foal out mares with my mom and our aunts Susie and Judi.

One special night a pretty black colt was born by Magnum. His mom was a pretty mare named Bey Affair. The black foal was owned by a very nice man named Fernando who is the owner of Magnum Psyche. Fernando knew I loved the colt and he gave me half of the colt as a gift, Fernando and I became partners. I fell in love with the black colt and I gave him a special name of Expelliarmus ( This name came from the Harry potter movies). A few months later I gave an offer to Fernando of $1200 and asked if I could buy the second half of the black foal. Fernando surprised me because he told me that I could not buy the second half, but that he would like to give it to me. This was one of the happiest moments in my life. Expelliarmus is now a gelding and he is trained very good by Sandro and Gil. They showed him for me at Regionals and he won top fives and even a reserve champion.

We have met a lot of nice people and a lot of new friends because of the Arabian horse.

My sisters and I want to invite you to visit Midwest someday and have a fun time together.

Sincerely,
Lyndsey Marie Boggs
